Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19th 2007) was an American film, theatre television, and voice actress. 1. Pleshette started her professional career in the theater and began appearing in films towards the end of the 1950s. She then made appearances in notable films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Later, she appeared in several television productions and was often acting as a guest. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 through 1978 in which she earned several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
